Jamie Burnett's agony over match-fixing row

Jamie Burnett revealed his torment at failing to avert a betting controversy over his first-round UK Championship defeat in Telford.

Bookmakers suspended activity on the match after a flurry of wagers on a 9-3 scoreline in Stephen Maguire's favour - the margin by which he did eventually win.

Burnett missed a black in the 12th frame that would have made it 8-4.

But he denied any wrongdoing and claimed the pressure, after hearing of the rumours, got to him in that final frame. He said: "To come off was the lowest feeling. I felt terrible."
