Jens: I'll keep my place at Arsenal

Jens Lehmann has admitted his howler against Blackburn at the weekend was the worst mistake of his career but says he is not concerned about losing his Arsenal place.

Lehmann, who will skipper Germany against England at Wembley tomorrow, has made two high-profile errors in Arsenal's opening two league games but the goalkeeper said the blunders will not affect his confidence.

Clanger: Lehmann holds his head in his hands after his mistake against Blackburn

"I committed two mistakes in three games, I admit that," Lehmann said. "The first mistake against Fulham was one of the first kicks of the season. I sort of kicked the ball at myself and it went directly in.

"The one I committed on Sunday had never happened in my life either in training or in a game. There was a reason why I didn't catch the ball but I really don't want to explain why - mostly because there are so many English journalists about, I know them by their faces and I don't want to give anything away."

Speaking at the German team's hotel, Lehmann added: "I don't really have any doubts in my ability as a keeper. The mistakes I made were so simple that I'm not really that concerned [about losing my place]."
