Apprentice Josephine Bruning looks a mite embarrassed as she returns on Sol Rojo, her first ever winner, but not as red-faced as her three rival riders.
Lucky win: Josephine Bruning looks a little embarrassed after he victory
When Dutch-born Bruning, 23, kicked the 14-1 outsider of four ahead with a circuit to go in the mile and a half race, jockeys Billy Cray, Paul Nolan and Ross Atkinson ignored her as she built up a 25-length lead.
Three furlongs out they realised their error but by then Sol Rojo was cantering to a 16-length win.
In front: Bruning opened up such a big lead her rivals could not catch her
Stewards banned Atkinson and Cray for 12 days and gave Nolan a 10-day ban.
David Wilson, who saddled up Gary Moore-trained third Turner's Touch, said: "I hope the stewards give the three of them a right roasting."
