Just who is facing the exit door when Ramos takes charge at Tottenham?

Juande Ramos' arrival at White Hart Lane may well signal a clearout and the players will know they are fighting for their futures.

When Sevilla met Spurs in the UEFA Cup last year, Ramos identified Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, Aaron Lennon and Pascal Chimbonda as the four men his side should be wary of. But who is safe from the axe now that he's in the other dug-out?

Big but not imposing: Kaboul

DEFENCE

Radek Cerny could not be faulted for either goal yesterday, but he is nothing more than a back-up keeper and with Paul Robinson's well-documented loss of form, a new No1 seems an inevitability.

Chimbonda has had a poor season and his marauding qualities were missing yesterday. The Frenchman will be nervous if reports Ramos wants Daniel Alves from his old club prove correct.

Michael Dawson should, perhaps, have been tighter to McCarthy for his equaliser yesterday but his commitment could not be faulted whereas Younes Kaboul is an imposing figure without being an imposing presence.

His distribution was woeful at times, but he is young and was bought to play alongside Ledley King, not replace him, so he may be given time.

MIDFIELD

Aaron Lennon provided genuine pace and penetration — exemplified by his driving run to win Spurs' penalty — and, given Ramos's preference for quick wingers, the England man will surely be a mainstay of the team. Steed Malbranque was industrious and probably Spurs' best player but he is no wideman.

Martin Jol knew he needed a left-winger — it won't be lost on Ramos either.

Didier Zokora and Tom Huddlestone were disappointing in the centre. Zokora left too many gaps, while Huddlestone's oxymoronic performance — a sublime touch usually betrayed by a woeful subsequent pass — highlighted Spurs' weakness in this area.

ATTACK

The question here more surrounds whether Dimitar Berbatov wants to stay or not. He was frustrated by a lack of service but showed touches of class when linking with Malbranque in the first half and Young-Pyo Lee in the second.

Robbie Keane is in great form and showed flashes of his true ability. That leaves Jermain Defoe, an 89th-minute substitute, and Darren Bent, utterly ineffective with 13 minutes more than the former, wondering which one of them will be sold if Ramos chooses to bring back Fredi Kanoute from Sevilla.
