Kaboul may see the Light after U-turn

Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul could sign for Sunderland less than a week after his agent said he wouldn't join them "even if there was an earthquake".

Portsmouth were favourites to land the 22-year-old, who could be about to perform an astonishing U-turn following talks with Sunderland manager Roy Keane.

Agent Rudy Raba had claimed the France defender's international ambitions could be damaged by a move to the Stadium of Light but said today: "Younes was very impressed with Roy when he met him, especially with his vision for the club.

"He was also very impressed with the city, stadium and facilities which are second to none. Younes also appreciated the fact Roy has given him a couple of days to make a decision. I expect him to make up his mind within 24 hours."
