Kaboul seeks move to Pompey after being frozen out at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul is hoping Portsmouth will rescue him from White Hart Lane.

Kaboul, signed from Auxerre for £8.2m last year, is eager to leave after being frozen out by Juande Ramos.

Portsmouth bound? Tottenham Hotspur's Younes Kaboul holds off Birmingham City's Cameron Jerome.

The 22-year-old has confirmed Portsmouth are leading the race for his signature and said: “It is true they may be showing the determination to secure my services. We will see.”

Meanwhile, Tottenham are believed to be closing in on the signing of French international keeper Gregory Coupet from Lyon for £2.5m.
