Keane now targeting a double ton for Spurs

There has been speculation surrounding Tottenham's strikers all season, but Robbie Keane is in no doubt White Hart Lane will be his home for many years.

The Irish international's consistency and leadership skills has been one of the few positive aspects of a difficult first half of the season for the club.

While Dimitar Berbatov, Darren Bent and Jermain Defoe have consistently been linked with moves away from north London, Keane has benefited from staying out of the spotlight.

100 club: Robbie Keane celebrates his century

The 27-year-old joined an elite list by becoming the 15th player to score 100 goals for the club when he netted the second in the 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Only Jimmy Greaves and Bobby Smith have reached the double century and Keane, who played for four teams before joining Tottenham in 2002, hopes to be at the club long enough for that target to be within reach.

He said: "I hope I'm young enough to get another 100 but I'm just looking to the next one. Spurs is my spiritual home - I must have said that a million times.

"Here I am playing regularly. Ask any player - no player likes sitting on the bench and I'm no different. As long as I keep playing and performing for Spurs then I am happy."

But the record Keane wants to break above all others is Arsenal's 21-game unbeaten run over Spurs.

Looking to tomorrow's second leg of the Carling Cup, Keane added: "We have to believe we can beat them. If we don't then what is the point of playing them?"
