Not heading north: Sidwell
But Keane, linked with moves for Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell and Birmingham's Olivier Kapo, believes he has run out of time to add further names to his squad.
Keane said: "Anything would be a bonus now. I'd be surprised if anything happens over the next 48 hours, we're cutting it fine. Our mentality has to be that's it.
"We'll get on with what we've got and if we can avoid further injuries, we should be fine."
However Keane is not expecting Sidwell to move north.
"Anyone who thinks Chelsea will let a player like him leave is leaving in Cloud Cuckooland," he said.
Sunderland have put David Connolly, Graham Kavanagh, Ian Harte, Ross Wallace and Greg Halford on the transfer list but Keane said no clubs have come in for them, although loan deals have not been ruled out.
Former Reading full-back Halford has been linked with a move to Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester want former Ireland international Kavanagh.
