Keegan desperate to add three more new faces to his Newcastle squad

On the lookout: Magpies manager Keegan
Kevin Keegan has admitted he needs another three new players before the season starts next week.
The manager has seen his perilously small squad only strengthened by the arrivals of Danny Guthrie and Jonas Gutierrez, although Fabricio Coloccini is expected to sign later this week.
Mark Viduka, Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins, Abdoulaye Faye and Shola Ameobi have all struggled with injury during pre-season and Keegan wants more players in.
'I would still like to strengthen and I'm confident we'll bring in at least two, possibly three, more faces,' he said.
'If those players are of the quality of the likes of Gutierrez and Guthrie then we'll take our chances.
'Add to that all the players we've got to come back then we've got a strong, quality squad with competition for places.
'By the time we play Valencia on Saturday, and then Manchester United a week later, I would think we will be pretty much at full strength, apart from maybe Mark Viduka.
'When everyone is fit we've got a pretty strong squad.'
