Keegan: I wish Sven luck
07 July 2007
Eriksson, 59, is following the same path as Keegan who took time out from the game after quitting the England job before taking charge at City.

Big job: Sven will have his hands full
The Swede made his first public appearance yesterday and insisted he should have nothing to prove at the City of Manchester Stadium, having had plenty of success as a club boss in Portugal, Italy and his homeland.
Keegan spent almost four years as City boss before resigning in March 2005, having failed to turn the club into the force he hoped they would become.
City remain in the shadow of Manchester United, and Eriksson faces a stiff challenge in his first English club job.
Keegan said: "It's a great club with a great support base and I wish him all the luck in the world. "It's a club who train 200 yards from Manchester United - two massive clubs in one city - and Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, arguably."
Keegan warned that the new City boss, who was the subject of several off-field controversies during his England career, would not be able to escape the glare of publicity.
"That comes with the territory," Keegan told BBC Radio Scotland.
"If you're a high-profile manager you are always going to be attacked from various points.
"It can be character, it can be the fact you're not interesting, it can be the fact you're too fun-loving, it can be your private life.
"Whatever happens, when you get to the top in management you're going to be attacked some way, and I think you've got to accept that, and if you don't I think you're just fooling yourself."
Keegan, 56, is behind a football academy in Scotland and hinted he would not be looking for another job in management.
He said: "I've always enjoyed it, but I'm doing different things now and enjoying those."
