Khan rises in the rankings

Amir Khan is closing in on his dream of becoming world champion by the age of 21 after rising to No 11 in the WBO world lightweight rankings.

The Olympic silver The World of Sport medallist, who reaches the milestone age in December, is one place behind former world title challenger Graham Earl, the ex- British and Commonwealth champion who retired after a punishing defeat by Australia's Michael Katsidis for the WBO interim world title in February.
