King set for shock return to injury-hit defence

Tottenham, trailing 2-1 from the first match in Spain last week, are already without left back Young-Pyo Lee and there are fresh doubts over the fitness of right back Paul Stalteri who picked up a knock against Chelsea at the weekend.

Leading man: Ledley King's return tomorrow would inspire Spurs
That leaves Jol with very few options at the back and he may have to field King at centre half with Michael Dawson as Anthony Gardner is already out with a broken leg and Ricardo Rocha is cup-tied.
Spurs could then use Pascal Chimbonda in his favoured full back role and Jol is understood to be considering the inexperienced Phil Ifil or midfielder Teemu Tainio as an emergency left back.
King last played against Aston Villa on Boxing Day but fractured a bone in his left foot and then suffered severe bruising to his right when attempting a comeback.
The return of the skipper would be a huge boost and the centre half trained in Seville with the rest of the squad last week and made a point of being in the dressing room before the game to help lift the players.
Stand-in skipper Robbie Keane feels King's presence on the pitch will inspire the side even more and said: "Ledley is our captain and a fantastic leader.
"We look forward to getting him back and we hope it will be sooner rather than later. He is a fantastic player and a good one to have around you. He's a quiet lad, he doesn't shout for the sake of shouting, but he leads by example. He will make an impact if he plays."
Keane has also called on Austrian referee Konrad Plautz to be strong and restore UEFA's mantra of fair play.
The striker is still furious at the controversial penalty Alain Hamer awarded the home side in the first leg of the last week.
The spot-kick award changed the game after Keane had put Spurs in front in the second minute.
Keeper Paul Robinson was judged to have fouled Adriano in the area even though he clearly touched the ball first with his hands. Martin Jol's side ended up losing the game 2-1, but the players were furious at Hamer's overall performance after he allowed Sevilla to get away with some nasty tackles and play-acting.
If Spurs are to overturn the deficit, Keane insists it is vital Plautz puts in a better performance.
He said: "We are hoping that the referee is a lot stronger in the second leg. The UEFA slogan is about 'fair play' and that's all we want. We didn't think there was much fair play in the first game.
"We are going to use what happened to motivate us to put things right. To get a decision like that at this level is unacceptable. We get punished for things we do wrong on the pitch, but other people make mistakes and get away with it.
"The lads were devastated with the way the game was managed and it made us appreciate how good the referees are in England."
Spurs are approaching the game with confidence even though the defeat in Spain was their first in the competition this season.
Keane said: "This is a massive game. We know if we don't win we're out and that's our hopes of winning a trophy gone. If we win it will be the biggest victory of our season. It will get us through to the semi-finals and a great chance of going all the way. It has been a long time since we got that far."
The match in Seville was overshadowed by ugly clashes between Spurs fans and police before and during the game.
UEFA are looking at the reports made by the referee, the match delegate and the safety and security officer and are likely to open an official investigation in the incidents.
Spurs could face a fine if the actions of their supporters are found to have provoked the trouble, but Keane is just hoping they show passion for the right reasons.
He said: "I'm sure the fans will create an even more special atmosphere after what happened last week.
"They always get behind us and it's very important they make it even louder than usual. This is when the players need them at their best."
