King setback for Spurs as defender unlikely to return before Christmas

Ledley King is still struggling with a knee injury which has ruled him out since the summer and the Spurs star is unlikely to return before Christmas.

The London Evening Standard revealed two months ago that the Tottenham captain had suffered a setback and wouldn't play before November.

The club then put out a statement denying there was any problem.

A club insider has now added: "He is going to be out for another four weeks at least."

Gareth Bale is also making slow progress with a foot injury and may not be back before the Euro clash with Anderlecht in two weeks.
