Konchesky still can't have a quiet day at the Park can't find solace at Upton Park

For poor old Paul Konchesky, yesterday was just one of those days. The Upton Park faithful has never forgiven him for his criticism of the Hammers when he left to join Fulham in the summer of 2007.
Konchesky claimed a lot of the players at Upton Park were unhappy under former manager Alan Curbishley and suggested his negative influence at the club prevented them from landing Darren Bent and keeping Carlos Tevez.
"There was, and still are, a lot of unhappy players at the club who don't like him [Curbishley]," said Konchesky when he left. Two years on and the left back is still waiting for his new club to take a point off his old one.
West Ham won home and away against Fulham last season and were victorious at Craven Cottage in September.
The former England defender may have thought his jinx was about to change when he scored a superb equaliser yesterday, beating Robert Green with a scorching drive from 30 yards for his first goal since scoring for the Hammers in the 2006 FA Cup final against Liverpool.
But Konchesky's luck changed 15 minutes into the second half when, with boos still ringing in his ears, he dawdled on the ball in defence and his dithering presented an opportunity for Carlton Cole to run in on goal.
The former England defender managed to catch up with the striker and the pair were running side by side as Cole entered the penalty box. But Konchesky then brought Cole down to concede a penalty which was converted by Mark Noble and the game was lost to Roy Hodgson's team.
