Robbie Keane's penthouse was broken into while he was away on international duty
Robbie Keane has reportedly become the seventh player to be targeted by crooks.
The Ireland striker's penthouse apartment was broken into while he was away on international duty for the country's 2-1 win over Georgia on Saturday.
The thieves sneaked into the flat he shares with model wife Claudine, 25, and are believed to have stolen an expensive watch and jewellery.
Keane, 28, had been using the city centre property in Liverpool while he searched for a home after his £20 million move from Tottenham FC to Merseyside.
Over the past two years six other Anfield stars have been burgled while playing.
Club captain and England midfielder Steven Gerrard, 28, was given extra security after raiders broke into his Formby home last December.
Gerrard was away playing a Champions League match in Marseilles when four men broke in and confronted his wife, Alex Curran.
Former Red Peter Crouch was busy scoring twice at Anfield in 2006 while burglars were rifling through his property in Cheshire.
And when Polish goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek was playing with his national side in June 2006, his plush home in Caldy, West Kirby, was targeted.
