'KP can be an all-time great'

As England prepare for tomorrow's fourth NatWest Series one-day international against India at Old Trafford, Vaughan said: "I see a real drive in him... if he wants to be a true great he can be and at the minute I'm seeing that he wants to take his batting records to new heights, he wants to end up with a career average of 50-odd and probably in both forms of the game.
"The big question will come when he's been playing international cricket for four or five years and it can feel like hard work. That's going to be the real hard ask for him. I'm sure he will do it."
Pietersen himself is convinced England have the potential to be one-day world-beaters.
They lead India 2-1 in the seven-game series and he said: "I've said in a team meeting that if we fulfil our potential I don't think anyone can beat us.
"But we need that consistency and we need to fulfil our potential."
