Langley prove worth

Rugby-mad boys at another State comprehensive are making a strong showing in the Evening Standard 1st XV league.

Robert Clack Academy were last month's top team: now Langley Park boys in Kent have put their hat in the ring.

Their only loss is to Whitgift and rugby master Fraser Thompson has praised the boys' progress against grammar and private schools.

Whitgift narrowly lost to Wellington College, a traditional bastion of schools' rugby. The College tops our league, alongside unbeaten Bedford, Epsom and Pangbourne.
