Springing into action: Gunners chief Wenger
Wenger was adamant his team were good enough to win a major trophy this season and is still cursing the way his side crashed out of the Champions League at Anfield.
Although the Arsenal players have hit rock bottom over the last week, Wenger has challenged them to show their fighting qualities and end the season on a high note, starting at home to Reading tomorrow.
Wenger said: "It is lowest week I have had here. We were so close to qualifying in the Champions League and if we had won at Manchester United we would have had a very strong chance to win the title.

Downbeat: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger
"It's been a year of hard work - probably the hardest we have ever worked here. So to lose everything in four or five days is very hard to take.
"But it's also a good opportunity to show we have strength, commitment and that we care about this club. There are still 12 points to go for and if we can end up with 83 that would be a good tally and represent good progress.
"I feel we have made good progress this season but we stagnated when it mattered and that is down to different circumstances. Now we have to discover that little bit which turns losers into winners."
