Lehmann advises team-mates on how to stop Ronaldo as Germans prepare for Portugal showdown at Euro 2008

If German players are worried about Cristiano Ronaldo, all they have to do is talk to their goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
Lehmann is drawing on his Premier League experience to advise his teammates on possible ways to stop Ronaldo when the two teams face each other at the European Championship quarter-finals on Thursday in Basel.

Right back Arne Friedrich has already been spoken to.
"My Arsenal teammates have found a way to stop him effectively and I've already talked to Arne about it," Lehmann said. "I am not going to elaborate here but I will be talking to the others as well. There are ways.
"Unfortunately, they also have other great players."
Lehmann is leaving Arsenal after spending most of the season on the bench and will play next season for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, but he has enough Premier League experience to know about Ronaldo.
"Ronaldo can make the difference and he can be wonderful to watch - if you don't have to play against him."
Germany coach Joachim Loew also thought Lehmann should spread his advice around.
Loew said: "Ronaldo switches sides anyway. And it's also a matter of stopping their other players, who have similar qualities and like coming down the flanks. They are very quick, good dribblers. Deco can decide the game with one pass. We'll have to double-team a lot."
