Turkey 3 Czech Republic 2 FT

Switzerland 2 Portugal 0 FT

9.43: A remarkable game in Geneva comes to an end and Turkey are through.

9.39: Turkey goalkeeper Volkan Demirel is sent off for a push on Koller.  Tuncay is in between the sticks. What next?

9.37 GOAL: Nihat turns the game on its head with a brilliant finish. Four minutes of injury time to come.

9.35 GOAL: Nihat taps home the equaliser after Cech drops a cross at the Turkey skipper's feet. A howler from the Chelsea keeper.

9.31: Sionko leaves the field to be replace by Stanislav Vlcek. Michal Kadlec is on for Plasil.

9.25 GOAL: Hakin Yakin again for the Swiss. This time from the spot after Fernando Meira's foul on Tranquilo Barnetta.

9.22 GOAL: Turkey have set up a frantic final quarter of an hour. Sabri finds Hamit Altintop down the right hand side and his pull back his put away by Arda Turan.

9.18: Polak should have put the result beyond doubt but his effort comes back off the post. We're into the last 20 minutes.

9.14 GOAL: Switzerland have taken the lead against Portugal, Hakan Yakin slotting the ball through the keeper's legs after latching on to Eren Derdiyok's pass.

9.09 GOAL: Absolute disaster for Turkey. Defender Emre Gungo had just been carried off and unable to make the substitution, manager Fatih Terim could only watch as Jaroslav Plasil met Sionko's cross at the back post and squeezed the ball home.

9.05: Colin Kazim-Richards is on for Turkey with Topal making way.

9.01: Cech keeps his side in front with a smart save to keep out Tuncay's header. Turkey are enjoying their best spell of the match.

8.53: Turkey start the second half with Sabri Sarioglu on in place of  Semih Senturk.

8.36: Polak takes too long to get his shot away as the Czechs finish the first half in determined fashion and it stays 1-0 at the break.

8.32: Goalless at half-time between Portugal and Switzerland.

8.26: The Czechs are forced into a change with Reading's Matejovsky carried off and David Jarolim taking his place.

8.23 GOAL: Koller makes the breakthrough with a superb header from  Zdenek Grygera's cross from the right.

8.14: Rangers dud Libor Sionko looks lively for the Czechs and fires a shot just over the bar.

8.06: Tuncay tries his luck from distance as Turkey start to settle but keeper Petr Cech has the effort covered. Cech's opposite number Volkan Demirel  denies Marek Matejovsky  at the other end.

8.01: Giant striker Jan Koller heads over as the Czechs press for an opener. It's a bit stop-start as the Turks, who look nervy at the back, are giving away too many free-kicks.

8.00: Another Mehmet and another yellow card. This time Aurelio goes in the book for dissent and he'll miss the quarter-final  if Turkey progress.

7.55: Turkey's Mehmet Topal picks up an early booking for a foul on Jan Polak.  A bit harsh as Polak went down as if he'd been pole-axed.
