LIVE: The SPL title race goes down to the wire:

Dundee United 0 Celtic 1

Aberdeen 2 Rangers 0

FULL MATCH REPORTS WILL FOLLOW SHORTLY

9.41: It's all over in Aberdeen.

9.38: It's all over at Tannadice. There's tears on the Celtic bench and Gordon Strachan looks absolutely drained.

9.25: It just gets worse for Rangers. Novo is sent off for a foul on Stuart Duff. He'll miss the Scottish Cup Final. At least he won't have to hear the Aberdeen fans at the final whistle. They're celebrating as if they had won the league.

9.22: GOAL: The helicopter, somewhere between Dundee and Aberdeen, can start heading south as Darren Mackie has doubled the Dons' lead from close range.

9.14: GOAL: Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink breaks the deadlock at Tannadice with a header from Paul Hartley's corner. The Hoops are heading for their third straight title.

Party time: The Celtic fans start the celebrations. Only 10 minutes to go

9.07: GOAL: Lee Miller has put Aberdeen ahead against Rangers and the striker will probably be able to hear the noise the Celtic fans are making just down the road as the news filters through.

Rangers assistant Ally McCoist can't look

9.00: Gers skipper Barry Ferguson tries to lead by example but he can't find the accuracy to beat Langfield from the edge of the area. Walter Smith throws on Nacho Novo and Kris Boyd for Daniel Cousin and Darcheville.

8.52: Nakamura is getting a desperate for Celtic and picks up a yellow card for a dive in the box while Aberdeen's Barry Nicholson has a go at his former club with an effort that Neil Alexander does well to save.

8.50: Rangers and Aberdeen start the second half about a minute before the restart at Tannadice. Could make for a nervy ending.

8.33: Goalless at Pittodrie at half-time and the whistle's gone at Tannadice as well.

8.28: Charlie Adam tries his luck with a free-kick as Rangers look to make the breakthrough before half-time but his effort is far too high.

He wears it well: Hoops fan Rod Stewart doesn't look too nervous

8.26: Dundee United's Mark de Vries just wasted a chance, firing wide when he should have done better.

8.22: Rangers' dreams of a goal rush don't look like coming true as Aberdeen are battling for everything in an entertaining encouunter.

8.15: Shunsuke Nakamura looks lively for Celtic but they still can't find a way past Zaluska and the pilot guarding the trophy can stay on his helipad for the time being.

8.07: Still goalless at Pittodrie where both teams have had chances. Chris Maguire volleys over for the hosts before Jean Claude Darcheville fires into the side netting at the other end.

8.02: Aiden McGeady is denied by a smart save from Lukasz Zaluska before the United keeper does even better to prevent Barry Robson scoring against his old club, tipping his header over the bar.

Committed: Karim Touzani (right) and Christian Dailly get stuck in

7.56: Steven Davis has the chance to get Rangers off to a flier further up the east coast but his effort is deflected for a corner before Christian Daily is denied by Dons keeper Jamie Langfield.

7.50: Celtic have made a bright start on Tayside and look determined to wrap things up early doors but United almost hurt them on the break when Noel Hunt stings the palms of Artur Boruc.

Tribute: The Rangers players applaud the late Tommy Burns before kick-off

7.45: Both games are under way

With the Glasgow giants locked on 86 points, Celtic are in pole position with a goal difference four better than their fierce rivals.

But as both sides know, anything can happen on the last day of the season......
