A fans' march and non-stop chanting of his name are planned at Anfield, where Liverpool need a win to keep their European hopes alive.
Captain Steven Gerrard said: "We realise there is stuff going on behind the scenes but as a player you have just got to blank that out. We mustn't get distracted."
