Liverpool look to bring in Man City's Hart as Carson prepares to leave

Liverpool are keeping a close watch on Manchester City's England Under 21 goalkeeper Joe Hart, who has been dropped in favour of Andreas Isaksson to face Reading tomorrow despite some outstanding performances.

The Merseysiders are expected to sell England keeper Scott Carson to Aston Villa for £10million, but see 20-year-old Hart as an ideal back-up for Jose Reina.

Hart, who has kept clean sheets in his last two games, still has two years left on his City contract.
