LuaLua revelling in new competition

Portsmouth's Lomana LuaLua is determined to put up a fight with the club's new £14million strike pair to prove he still has a Premiership future.

LuaLua sent a message to David Nugent and John Utaka by leading Harry Redknapp's new-look team to a 2-0 victory at Yeovil.

LuaLua, who scored Portsmouth's first goal, said: "Nugent and Utaka are good players and there is a lot of competition for places but I welcome it.

"It is up to me to show I deserve a place because I don't want to miss out."

Ex-Barcelona midfielder Geovanni, 27, on a two-week trial after being released by Benfica, scored the other Pompey goal.
