Former Spain coach Luis Aragones admitted taking his new post at Fenerbahce was a 'risk' but vowed to do his utmost to bring success to the Turkish club.
The 69-year-old, who led Spain to their first major trophy in 44 years at Euro 2008, has signed a two-year contract in Istanbul.
Aragones: It's a 'risk' joining the Turkish giants
'If you want to be successful, you have to take some risks,' said Aragones. 'I had to take this risk, and try something new.
'Of course, I will always miss Spain, but now I'm only focused on Fenerbahce's success.'
Aragones was impressed last season with Fener's run to the Champions League quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by eventual runners-up Chelsea.
'I'm so happy to be a part of this great club,' he said.
'Fenerbahce had a great season in the Champions League, so now everyone knows what we are capable of achieving.
'I watched Fenerbahce in the Champions League, so I know my players very well. They all are very strong and qualified.'
Aragones succeeds Brazilian Zico, who left the club last month after their second- placed Super Lig finish.
