Shaun Wright-Phillips is set to make a dramatic return to in an £8.5million deal — three years after a £22million move to .
It is believed the winger, who will undergo a medical on Thursday, has been offered a staggering £80,000-a-week deal to go back to Eastlands as one of manager Mark Hughes’ top targets.
Everton were also anxious to sign the forward but have pulled out after falling a long way short of City’s wages offer.

Wright-Phillips is anxious to move on from Chelsea where his first-team chances under Luiz Felipe Scolari look extremely limited.
Hughes said: ‘We are keen to bring him to the club if we can. If it doesn’t happen, it won’t be for the lack of trying.’
