Max Mosley: I'll track down enemy who set me up

Max Mosley claims he may soon be able to reveal the identity of the person he believes set him up for newspaper revelations about his involvement in sado-masochistic sex.

Mosley has also attacked sponsors of Formula One teams who called for his resignation as president of the FIA, motor sports governing body.

After recently winning a privacy action in the High Court, 68-year-old Mosley is determined to discover who tipped off the Sunday newspaper which carried the initial story back in March.

He said: "That is being investigated very carefully and in great detail, and sooner or later we'll know."

Bernie Ecclestone, who runs the commercial side of F1, tipped his friend off about one individual.

Mosley, who believes it was "more likely than not" that his private life was exposed by an enemy he has made in motor sport, said: "Bernie gave me the name of someone who is not that distant from F1. We shall see, soon all will be revealed."

Mosley, who is unlikely to attend this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix despite his court victory, also hit out at the four major manufacturers - Honda, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and BMW - who called for him to quit the presidency of the FIA.

He said: "They put out their statements but it was all based on the Nazi thing. What annoyed me was that they didn't pick the phone up and ask if it was true."
