Megson hopes Rasiak can head Bolton in right direction

Gary Megson might not be expecting beautiful goals from Grzegorz Rasiak, but he believes the Poland striker's contribution could be crucial in helping Bolton avoid relegation.

Rasiak has moved to the Reebok on a season-long loan from Southampton, and Bolton boss Megson said: "Grzegorz has got a great goal-scoring record. He's good in both boxes, and in terms of crosses, set-pieces and getting it into the box, he does particularly well.

"He doesn't score too many goals from 25 yards and he doesn't score too many where he'll go past one or two players and chip past the goalkeeper — but he scores an awful lot of goals from crosses.

"I'm delighted with the way he's gone about his training so far with us."
