Boro manager Gareth Southgate is examining his options as his first choice, Mark Schwarzer, is out of contract at the end of the season. Celtic and Bayern Munich are leading the clubs willing to end his 11-year spell on Teesside.

Misery: Paul Robinson
The 35-year-old is one of four high earners at Boro who are expected to leave in the summer, with Gaizka Mendieta and Brazilian Fabio Rochemback also out of contract, while former skipper George Boateng has 12 months left on his current deal.
Southgate has deliberately delayed any contract negotiations with his players until the club have secured their Barclays Premier League status, but he is aware of other clubs' interest in his stars.
Southgate said: "I spoke to Mark Schwarzer at the beginning of the season when we offered him a one-year extension. But he didn't want to do that.
"Mark wants to play at the next World Cup, which is two years away. That's very much in his thinking and once you get past January he can speak to anyone across Europe. The goalposts move.
"I haven't wanted to trouble anyone with talk about new contracts. Negotiations are never straightforward and during a season can unsettle people.
'With him being in the last six months of his contract, clubs have approached him from abroad. I expected that to happen and I have no issue with that at all. Mark has to do what is right for him.
"In the past at this club we've had players coming to the end of their careers on long contracts with no guarantee that they would be out on the pitch. In fact, if I hadn't become manager that might have been me."
Rochemback, 26, has attracted interest from his previous club, Sporting Lisbon, as well as Benfica and Inter Milan, and seems certain to leave.
The release of former Spain international Mendieta, 34, will free up £60,000 a week in wages, which is certain to be put to better use as the midfielder has failed to make the team this season.
