Milan chief Galliani tells Shevchenko: We still love you very much

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has brushed aside reports linking Russia striker Roman Pavlyuchenko with a move to the San Siro this summer - but would love to sign Chelsea's Andriy Shevchenko.
Target: Shevchenko
The Spartak Moscow frontman has been a target for several top European clubs
following his impressive displays in helping his country reach the Euro 2008 semi-finals.
However, Galliani played down suggestions Milan are one of the teams monitoring the 26-year-old.
'The only Chenko I love is Sheva (Chelsea's Andriy Shevchenko),' he said when asked about Pavlyuchenko.
'Shevchenko has remained in our hearts and if Chelsea decide to sell him we will acquire him. This is the wish of (AC Milan owner Silvio) Berlusconi.'
A move back to the San Siro for Shevchenko has been mooted since the beginning of the year and Berlusconi has frequently said he would welcome the former
Rossonero star back with open arms.
The 31-year-old is still a firm fans' favourite in Milan after firing them to the Serie A title and the Champions League during a glorious seven-year spell there.
Shevchenko has failed to have the expected impact at Stamford Bridge since his
£30million move in the summer of 2006.
