Misfit Ameobi to help Stoke's promotion push

The 26-year-old goes straight into the squad to face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday.
Ameobi, a former England Under 21 international, has been restricted to just eight appearances for Newcastle this season after falling behind Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins and Mark Viduka in the pecking order at St James' Park.
And since Kevin Keegan took charge in mid-January, Ameobi has turned out only twice for Newcastle.
Leroy Lita does have a future at Reading, according to Reading boss Steve Coppell even though the former England Under 21 striker has been loaned to Charlton for the remainder of the season.
He originally joined former Reading boss Alan Pardew on a month's loan but that has been extended to include the play-offs should Charlton reach them. Reading do have the power to recall him instantly.
At the moment Dave Kitson, Kevin Doyle and Shane Long are the top three strikers for Coppell, who said: 'I've done it because four into two doesn't go and Leroy wants to play competitive games. I can't really put two strikers on the bench and we only have about three reserve games left in which he can play. At Charlton he has just had four games in a row.'
Lita, a £1million signing from Bristol City, only has a year of his Reading contract left but Coppell confirmed 'he has a future at Reading'.
