Modric will Spur on Tottenham to greater things, claims Stimac

Former Croatia international Igor Stimac has backed striker Luka Modric to became a
huge hit at Tottenham.

Spurs have spent around £16.5million to take the 22-year-old Modric to White Hart Lane from Dinamo Zagreb, but Stimac has no doubts that it will prove to be money well spent.

"He is going to be wonderful, don't worry about that. He's a world class player and he will be one of the key men in Tottenham's future," said Stimac

The 40-year-old Stimac, who spent six years playing in England with Derby and West Ham, also believes Modric will have no trouble adapting to the Premier League and insists the young playmaker will hit the ground running.

"He will make an immediate impact, the same as Eduardo (da Silva). Because he is a top-class player he will not need time to settle down," Stimac added.
