Moyes looks to tempt Newcastle's No 2 Round to Goodison Park

Everton boss David Moyes wants former England and Newcastle coach Steve Round to be his assistant at Goodison Park.
Round, 37, is also believed to be among the applicants for the vacant manager's job at MK Dons but the thought of working alongside Moyes as he strives to break into the Premier League's top four and masterminds another UEFA Cup campaign appeals.
Moyes has been working without an assistant manager since the departure of Alan Irvine to Preston in November.
That was then: Steve Round as Steve McClaren's assistant with England
Former Middlesbrough number two Round's contract at St James' Park is believed to have expired and no new deal has been agreed, allowing Everton to make a move.
Round only moved to Newcastle last summer when Sam Allardyce appointed him as first team coach at St James' Park.
Meanwhile, Moyes could be without both Tony Hibbert and Joseph Yobo for the start of the new season.
Hibbert finds out today whether he needs surgery on his medial ligaments while Yobo has been told to fully rest an ankle problem.
Hibbert sustained the injury Arsenal last year and it turned out to be worse than initially feared.
He said: 'We didn't realise at first how bad it was. I have had tweaks in my knees before and it didn't feel anywhere near as bad. But the scan was 10 times worse. I ruptured my medial ligaments.
'They have basically come completely off the bone at the top where the nerve endings are, which is why I wasn't getting much pain.’
Everton are already without midfielder Tim Cahill until September while he recovers from a broken metatarsal.
