Murphy's reward for keeping Fulham in top flight - a new one-year deal

Fulham are offering Danny Murphy a new one-year deal as his reward for keeping the club in the top flight.

Murphy's header at Portsmouth on the final day of the season completed Fulham's great escape, and the Cottagers hope he will put pen to paper on a deal next week.

If 31-year-old Murphy agrees terms it will ensure midfielder Steve Davis leaves Craven Cottage.

He wants to join Glasgow Rangers on a permanent deal, and Fulham are eager to bring in some cash for new signings.
