Naughty Nani risks wrath of Fergie after backflip celebration

Nani risked the wrath of manager Sir Alex Ferguson by marking a goal with an elaborate double back flip during a Manchester United XI's 3-0 romp against Irish League part-timers Glentoran in Belfast.

The £17.3million Portuguese forward curled in a right-foot shot from just inside the area to put United three up by the break, then celebrated with the acrobatics banned by Ferguson, who was not at the game after being told by his wife to help them move house.

Glentoran were no match for a United line-up captained by Rio Ferdinand and including regular first teamers Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Michael Carrick. But the United player who caught the eye was England youth international Frazier Campbell, who struck twice in the first half. United sent another strong XI to take on Scottish Division One side Dunfermline and eased to a 4-0 victory with goals by Ryan Giggs and Chris Eagles in the first half and a Wayne Rooney double after the break.

New £17m signing Owen Hargreaves linked up effectively with Paul Scholes and Giggs in midfield while Wes Brown, Mikael Silvestre and Darren Fletcher also enjoyed a run-out ahead of Sunday's opening Premier League fixture at home to Reading.

Most importantly for Ferguson, his team emerged unscathed from the testimonial match for long-serving Dunfermline defender Scott Thomson.
