Neil Warnock and Aidy Boothroyd are backed by Leigh Bromby

Leigh Bromby has defended the style of direct play favoured by Neil Warnock and Aidy Boothroyd, the managers of Crystal Palace and Watford who meet tomorrow.

Bromby has played for Warnock at Sheffield United and is now a key member of Watford's back line.

He said: "We got tagged a long ball team at United but I don't think that was fair. We played a lot of good football at times.

"Watford get the same thing under Aidy and again, it's just one part of what we do."
