Set for debut: Aaron Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey is set to make his Gunners debut in the friendly with Barnet on Saturday.
The £5million teenager is in Arsene Wenger's 24-man squad, which also features Theo Walcott, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy but Barcelona target Emmanuel Adebayor does not return to pre-season training until Monday.
On Saturday the agent working for the Serie A club Vincenzo Morabito said Arsenal have almost halved their original price tag of £35m for striker Adebayor.
'We're working to make the deal easier,' Morabito told Antenna3. 'We're arriving at more reasonable figures. They're still a lot, but much less than the 45m euros that were initially asked for. A bit more than half. More than that of Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba but they are a little bit older.'
However the 24-year-old's move to the San Siro has scuppered by their £19.8m purchase of Brazilian star Ronaldinho this week. Milan chief executive Adriano
Galliani said: 'The market for Milan is closed with Ronaldinho. As far as
arrivals are concerned, we are finished, absolutely.'
This leaves a link-up with former Gunner Alexander Hleb at Barcelona the only possible move available for the Togo star.
