New Tiger cub will alter return plans for Woods

Tiger Woods will approach his return to competition on an event-by-event basis rather than head into a full schedule.

The world No1 has been out since winning the US Open last June, when he played with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee and a double stress fracture of the same leg.

Woods, 33, said the imminent birth of his second child meant he will be taking his comeback step-by-step. He added: "At this point, especially with the baby coming, I'm taking it tournament-to-tournament. With our new addition, it's going to be a hectic spring."
