Newcastle deny owner Ashley is negotiating to sell Toon to terrorist Bin Laden's family

Newcastle United have denied reports they could be bought out by a construction company run by the family of terrorist Osama bin Laden.
Newspaper reports on Sunday claimed the Saudi Binladen Group, whose chief executive is Osama's half-brother Bakr bin Laden, was the shock front-runner to buy the club from owner Mike Ashley.
Mike Ashley: stories that Newcastle's owner is trying to sell up are an attempt to destabilise the club, says chairman Derek Llambias
The news follows Friday's speculation that the Tyneside club was to be bought by New York finance company InterMedia Partners for £420m after talks with the billionaire businessman who bought the club last summer.
Bin Laden
Although a New York-based private equity firm has said it has been approached about a takeover deal, new club chairman Derek Llambias is adamant there is no truth in the rumours.
He said: 'At a time when everyone at Newcastle United is working hard to prepare for the new season ahead, it is annoying that we have to correct inaccurate stories.
'Whoever is putting these stories around is clearly trying to destabilise the club. Those actions speak louder than any words. I'm sure supporters see these stories for what they are – utter nonsense.'
Newcastle's players returned to pre-season training this morning, including England under-21 winger James Milner who has attracted interest from Aston Villa.
