Newcastle are still interested in St Etienne striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Tyneside club have made a £10 million offer for the 22-year-old, but they are not expecting an answer from the club or player until the end of France's interest in Euro 2008.

Gomis is with the France squad and has also attracted interest from Arsenal and West Ham. He recently signed a contract extension at St Etienne but he is still widely expected to leave after the European Championship Finals in Switzerland and Austria.
Newcastle director of football Dennis Wise, vice-president Tony Jimenez and technical co-ordinator Jeff Vetere have travelled twice to France to see Gomis, who was a surprise addition to the French squad, ahead of David Trezeguet.
Since then, manager Kevin Keegan and his assistant Terry McDermott have also had a look at the striker.
