Making an impression: Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar (right) has been interesting a number of clubs south of the border
Keegan is on record as saying there are a number of SPL players who could make the leap to the Premiership and Northern Ireland international Steven Davis, on loan to Rangers from Fulham, is another being monitored by the Geordies.
But it is Cuellar's form that has made him both a hot property and a top tip for Player of the Year awards - and Rangers are now almost certain to receive bids for the Spaniard when the summer transfer window opens.
Tottenham raided Glasgow to land Alan Hutton for £9million in January and the one certainty is that the central defender's price will rise above the £2.2m paid to Osasuna last July.
