Newcastle line up £4m swoop for Spurs defender Dawson and Lennon too

Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan is preparing a double raid for Tottenham duo Michael Dawson and Aaron Lennon.
The Toon manager is lining up a £4million swoop for the centre half, according to the Daily Mirror, after it emerged that 24-year-old Dawson looks likely to be pushed down the pecking order if White Hart Line coach Juande Ramos gets in the men he wants.
Keegan will only sign young players this summer and both Dawson, 24, and Lennon, 21, have the added advantage of considerable Premier League experience.
Defender: Dawson
Winger: Lennon
The Toon boss was back at his desk yesterday, planning for pre-season training.
Lennon will be hot property if put up for sale, and could end up being used by Spurs as a bargaining tool to sign Blackburn's David Bentley.
