Phil Taylor is ready to combine darts with cards in a bid for an unexpected tilt at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
Taylor won £100,000 when he retained his Premier League darts crown in Cardiff on Monday night, but his biggest pay day came when he finished runner-up to snooker star Matthews Stevens in the 888.com Pacific Poker Open in 2004.
Taylor: Cool hand
The Power won £179,000 and now plans to use the focus he needs on the oche to show he has a cool hand when the cards are dealt.
Taylor will take part in the Las Vegas darts classic in July which is on at the same time as poker's world series.
He said: "It would be fantastic to play in both and if it all fits in it is something which I would love to do."
Players need a $10,000 entry fee for the world series and Taylor added: "I really like the game. When I finished second to Matthew it was such a highlight in my career."
Taylor set a record average for the Premier League with 103.43 from the tournament's 16 games this season.
