O'Neill continues Villa keeper hunt, lining up Real Sociedad stopper Riesgo

On the lookout: O'Neill is chasing keeper Riesgo

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has made an offer for Real Sociedad goalkeeper Asier Riesgo, according to reports in Spain.

Newspaper Diario Vasco say that Villa have targeted the 24-year-old shot-stopper, as have Spanish giants Valencia.

While Riesgo would like to stay with the Basque outfit, their rising debts following relegation to the second tier of Spanish football in 2007 mean that the club may be forced to sell.

Despite Brad Guzan's imminent arrival at Villa Park, Villa boss Martin O'Neill is keen to sign another keeper.
