Pardew takes blame as loans fail to pay off

Loan signings Greg Halford (Sunderland), Lee Cook (Fulham), Scott Sinclair (Chelsea) and Leroy Lita (Reading) have all failed to make an impact at The Valley since joining in the New Year, with the club winning just once in their last nine games.
Having been comfortably in the play-off places and with an eye on the top two, Charlton are now 10th.
"We had been searching for a team capable of winning automatic promotion," said Pardew. "In doing so I muddled with the team and have now put our play-off position in jeopardy for which I take full responsibility.
"Now we are fighting for our lives to get into the play-offs."
