Pearce confident Wembley will work wonders for England's future stars

Stuart Pearce's England Under-21s will be given a chance to impress Fabio Capello on the big stage when they complete their Euro 2009 qualification at Wembley against Portugal in September.
Coach Pearce has been feeding players to the seniors and feels playing at England's new home will help the process for his youngsters.
They are virtually guaranteed a play-off to reach next summer's finals but a point against Portugal will see them through as Group Three winners.

Dream team: Pearce (right) brings players through for Capello
Pearce said: 'Since our last Under-21 game, six of our players have been in the senior squad. That shows that the dividing line is very small and Fabio Capello is happy to bring players in and have a look at them.
'We want the transition to the seniors to be as smooth as possible. Taking this game to Wembley is part of that.
'A lot of the Under-21 players will never have played there before and the experience of playing this game there will help them as and when they step up to the seniors.'
The top tier of Wembley is likely to be closed for the clash on September 5, as it was for when the Under-21s played Italy last year.
Pearce is expected to join Capello's seniors the following day in Barcelona for the clash against Andorra.
The Under-21s will also play a friendly against Slovenia at Hull's KC Stadium on August 19.
