The 36-year-old former Holland striker took legal action after he was turned away from pre-season training by the Welsh club.
Not amused: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink insists he is entitled to a further one-year contract with Cardiff City.
Cardiff opted to release him but Hasselbaink claims he is entitled to a new one-year deal under his contract.
He is believed to want £750,000 but Cardiff claim there is a verbal agreement to waive the second year of his deal.
