Brazilian superstar Robinho showed no ill effects from his midweek trip to South America as he turned up for his first day at training at
The 24-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes of Brazil's World Cup qualifiers on Sunday and Wednesday, returned by private jet on Thursday along with team-mates Elano, Jo and Pablo Zabaleta.
And hours later Robinho gave a thumbs up to fans and photographers as he arrived as City's Carrington training ground.
Manager Mark Hughes will assess the fitness of Robinho before deciding whether to start him against in Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash.
But Robinho has made no secret of his desire to face Chelsea - who came close to signing him from Real Madrid - only to be gazumped by City's British record £32.5million bid.

Hughes said: 'On the day I met him in London ten days ago, one of the first things he said was that he can't wait for the game because he can't wait to play against Chelsea, so that's a good sign.'
