Pompey agree four-year deal with Trinidad and Tobago midfielder Hyland

Portsmouth are close to signing teenage Trinidad and Tobago international Khaleem Hyland on a free transfer.

The San Juan Jabloteh midfielder had a trial at Portsmouth 12 months ago but also interested Celtic, who had a £450,000 bid turned down last summer.

However, after impressing in recent internationals, including against England, Portsmouth have rekindled their interest and are discussing a four year deal.

His agent Steve Davies said: ‘We are just waiting for a work permit and we don't envisage any problems with that.’
