Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and now Henry are all ahead of the former Chelsea striker in the Nou Camp pecking order now.
It is understood United are preparing an £8m package to bring Gudjohnsen, 28, to Old Trafford. The move is dependent on the successful sale of Alan Smith, with United having accepted a £6m offer from Middlesbrough for the out-of-favour England striker.
Gudjohnsen said: "There were high expectations when I arrived at Barca. When a striker doesn't score many goals, people expect more of you. I also expect more from myself."
United are also likely to cash in on striker Giuseppe Rossi, the subject of a £5m bid from Parma.
Zolta Gera is back on Gareth Southgate's shopping list at Middlesbrough.
Southgate first tried to sign the West Brom 28-year-old in January but failed to agree a fee for the Hungary international who cost £1.5m from Ferencvaros three years ago. Gera has said: "I have told all concerned parties that I want to leave."
Jose Antonio Reyes could be the next Arsenal player out the doot after Althletico Madrid announced they want to sign him.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Real Madrid but has failed to hold down a regular place.
He was due to return to The Emirates this season but has made it clear he does not want to play there again and all that remains is for Arsenal and Athletico to agree a fee.
Wigan boss Chris Hutchings has slapped a £2m pricetag on Lee McCulloch after rejecting a bid from Rangers.
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce is trying to sign midfielder Olivier Kapo on loan from Juventus on a season-long loan.
Bruce wants the France international - who has spent the last year with Levante in Spain - as Juve are happy to let Kapo leave and a deal is expected to go through by the end of the week.
David Nugent's future remains uncertain after he held talks with Sunderland.
The 22-year-old striker is understood to have met the Black Cats' hierarchy on Friday after two clubs were given permission by Preston to talk to him following his return from the European Under-21 Championship. But Nugent then went on holiday, and North End chairman Derek Shaw admitted he was in the dark.
West Ham, Everton, Derby, Blackburn and Birmingham are also interested in the player.
Preston have signed Kevin Nicholls from Leeds for £400,000.
Nicholls, the former Elland Road skipper, has been axed after asking for a move. Defender Kelvin Wilson goes in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
Daniel Nardiello has performed a dramatic U-turn by walking out on Barnsley to join Queens Park Rangers.
The former Manchester United trainee had told the Tykes he would be putting pen to paper on a new dea.
But then Nardiello, 24, stunned Barnsley by phoning boss Simon Davey from Trowell Services to tell him he was heading south to join QPR instead.
The striker was due to sign a two-year contract at Oakwell - where chairman Gordon Shepherd was waiting for him with all the paperwork.
Shepherd said: "The club are desperately disappointed at Daniel's late, late decision."
Milan Mandaric wants to hijack Southampton's £700,000 bid to sign Marek Saganowski.
Leicester chairman Mandaric is determined to snatch Polish striker Saganowski from under the nose of Saints boss George Burley.
Saganowski's goals blasted Saints into the Championship play-offs, but he has yet to agree terms at St Mary's after spending the second half of last season on loan from French club Troyes.
And Mandaric is poised to steal the 24-year-old from the South Coast and present him to new manager Martin Allen at the Walkers Stadium.
He said: "I'm lying in wait there. Saganowski is a player I like. Watch this space."
